  • NOTE 1: Intensive Language courses: 275 = 101 and 102 in one course (6 cr.hrs.); 276 = 201 and 202 in one course (6 cr. hrs) Credit is only awarded for 101 and 102 OR 275, not all 3 courses - also - credit is only awarded for 201 and 202 OR 276

  • NOTE 2: At least 2 of these 3 courses are required for Portuguese majors. All 3 may be taken and applied toward Port. Major

  • NOTE 3: Third Language credit hours may be applied to minor or second major requirements. The major requires demonstrated 202 skill level which may be established by either a Foreign Language Proficiency test administered by a faculty member, or by taking the necessary language courses. Due to the similarities between the two languages, Spanish is a recommended third language. Knowing both Spansih and Portuguese increases available job opportunities.
