Program Description:

The MS in Psychology is only awarded to students admitted to, and working toward, the PhD in Psychology. Students must complete all departmental core requirements as stated in the University Catalog. In addition, students must successfully complete and defend a Master’s Thesis according to the regulations set forth in the University Catalog under Master’s Degree, Plan I (Thesis). In rare cases a student may be awarded the MS under Plan II (without Thesis) but only with the permission of the student’s faculty advisor and the approval of the department.
